The Legacy of Pure Attar Distillation

For centuries, our family has perfected the art of deg-bhapka, extracting the soul of botanicals into precious oil concentrates. This is the foundation of every AL RAHMAN & SONS attar.

Aging and Blending

Only the finest, ethically harvested botanicals are chosen, from rare agarwood to fragrant damask roses, ensuring unparalleled purity and aroma.

Raw materials are hydro-distilled in traditional copper degs, slowly heated over wood fires to gently release their volatile aromatic compounds.

The aromatic vapor rises into the bhapka, a receiver vessel where it condenses into a fragrant hydrosol, layered with precious oil.

The concentrated attar is then aged, often over sandalwood oil, allowing its complex notes to mature and deepen, before Siraj Attarwala's final blend.

From Earth to Essence

Ethical Botanical Sourcing

Our commitment to authenticity begins with the source. We journey to the wild Assam forests for sustainably harvested agarwood and partner with Kannauj rose gardens for their exquisite damask blooms. Each ingredient is a testament to nature's bounty and our dedication to pure oil concentrates.

The Master's Words

To preserve the true soul of Indian attar craft is to honor the botanical, the process, and the patience. There are no shortcuts to purity.
